About Quantum Clinic

For your wellbeing

A commonly used definition of Integrative Oncology is: “a patient-centered, evidence-informed field of cancer care that utilizes mind and body practices, natural products, and/or lifestyle modifications from different traditions alongside conventional cancer treatments. It aims to optimize health, quality of life, and clinical outcomes across the cancer care continuum, and to empower people to prevent cancer and become active participants before, during, and beyond cancer treatment.”

At Quantum Clinic, Dr Tavakkoli supports the wellbeing of people diagnosed with cancer. The following services are available:

➢ Modulated electro-hyperthermia (local hyperthermia)

➢ Intravenous vitamin infusions

➢ Subcutaneous mistletoe injections

➢ Information on metabolic pathway blockers

Functional Medicine consultation and laboratory testing

➢ Nutritional advice

➢ Targeted anti-inflammatory supplements

➢ Oxygenation therapy (Exercise with oxygen therapy

➢ Mind-body therapy

These services are offered as a comprehensive integrative system to support patients with active cancer who are undergoing, or have undergone, conventional treatment, and as a supportive approach for wellbeing. Please note that Dr Tavakkoli is not an oncologist. These services are not an alternative to conventional treatment and are not offered as a treatment for cancer or a cure for cancer.

Please note that Dr Tavakkoli is an adult physician and licensed to see over 18s only. Unfortunately she does not currently offer services to women during pregnancy or breast feeding.

As from January 2022, Quantum Clinic will be a UK-wide service only, ie only patients who are UK residents can be seen.

The plant-based diet we recommend at Quantum Clinic is whole food, low glycaemic,  high fibre and anti-inflammatory. It contains healthy fats and plant proteins, and is rich in anti-cancer phytonutrients. It aims to address the underlying metabolic impairment that occurs with cancer whilst delivering the highest quality nutrients to maximise your cellular functions of repair, regeneration and detoxification.

Plant-based diets have been shown to both prevent and improve the outcome of many conditions including cancer.

Numerous large studies confirm that high fat diets in cancer lead to significantly poorer outcomes in the long term.

The following meta-analysis (highest strength evidence) on nearly 10,000 patients with breast cancer showed a 23% reduced risk of recurrence in those eating a low fat diet after a diagnosis of breast cancer:

Effect of low-fat diet on breast cancer survival: a meta-analysis

In this randomised controlled trial that followed over 48,000 women over a period of 16 years, mortality rates were reduced by almost 50% in women consuming a low fat diet:

Low-Fat Dietary Pattern and Breast Cancer Mortality in the Women’s Health Initiative Randomized Controlled Trial.

A high dietary fat intake has been shown to increase the risk of developing several cancers including ovarian cancer in this meta-analysis of about 900,000 people:

Dietary fat intake and ovarian cancer risk: a meta-analysis of epidemiological studies

At Quantum Clinic we recommend whole food plant based nutrition as the diet with the strongest evidence for preventing cancer and improving outcomes. Where appropriate, this can be combined with intermittent fasting for optimum effect.

I was extremely impressed with Quantum Clinic. From first contact the thorough pre-assessment and initial consultation demonstrated the “no stone unturned” integrative approach to correcting disease through lifestyle, diet, exercise, mind set, supplementation and re-purposed pharmaceuticals. To get the most from the programme you need to show commitment as a patient, if you can play your part then Dr. Tavakkoli will certainly complement this with a comprehensive range of therapies that have proven efficacy.
Dr. Tavakkoli is friendly, empathetic and highly professional, delivery of treatments is carried out with great sensitivity. Whilst I am still awaiting post treatment blood tests and scans I am confident I received the best possible care and would unreservedly recommend the Clinic.”

“I would definitely recommend Quantum clinic and Dr Tavakkoli to anyone looking to understand a long term health issue better, and to find ways to help deal with it. I felt at all times I was being looked after by someone who really cares and wants to help, and most importantly, has the skills to do exactly that. 10/10”
